lyrics

I love Mr Mozart, on the piano forte,
I could sit and play him all day.
That Amadeus, he wrote a mean Sonata.

He was born in Salzburg, and was also known as Wolfgang.
He was only 5 feet four.
Yet he was a Colossus in the world of music that he lived for.

He loves to go out shopping to buy clothes to make him elegant.
He earned the money that he spent by teaching rich aristocrats.
At concerts played throughout the land is fortepiano sweetly sang.
The people came from miles around
To marvel at the wonder that was Wolfgang!

He wrote concertos - he wrote cantatas,
And 35 sensational sonatas.
He wrote fantasias that would amaze yus!
It seems to me, there's nothing finer
Then his Rondo in A minor.

Yes, I love Mr Mozart, I feel him in my fingers,
It moves me to my very core
When I play his Alla Turca from circa 1784.

He wrote for string quartets
And even clarinets.
His operas were popular -
Cosi Fan Tutti, and the Magic Flute.
We celebrate them still.
I suspect we always will,
To worship at the altar of
That prodigy from up above,
To marvel at the wonder that was -
Wolfgang!!
