lyrics

When we walked the streets of London,
We knew we were the golden boys.
Freedom in the air and the times were changing.

Looking for a place to play our sad guitars
And sing our pretty songs
All about the Rambling Boys and the Dirty Old Town.

So here's to the Salisbury boys
Sharing harmonies in the alleyways,
Lingering in the dark cafes
Thinking ‘bout Home.

Down the stairs to the Greek Street back room
With our sad guitars and our pretty songs,
We sang about the Mountain Thyme and the Little Black Train.

Later on, we were tired, we were hungry,
Travelling the underground
Back to the one-room hideaway to talk with the night.

Instrumental

So here's to the Salisbury boys…

When we walked the streets of London,
It was the year of ’65
Freedom in the air and the times were changing.
